Frequently Asked Questions

 

What are your hours of operation?

Both campuses are open from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Enrollment is for full-time only (full days, five days a week), but there are no restrictions on the hours your child can or must attend school. However, we do recommend that children in the Junior and Senior Programs arrive at school by 9:00 a.m., when the academic portion of their day begins.

 

 

What ages do you accept?

All Starz Children’s Academy is open to children 6 weeks to 5 years of age regardless of race, color, creed, sex, ethnic group, or mental or physical abilities.

 

 

Can I watch my child through Internet viewing?

There are video cameras in each classroom and outdoor playground that display on monitors in the Welcome Area. Parents are also given remote access to the camera feeds through a secure website, giving you peace of mind and a chance to “peek in” throughout your child’s day at school.

 

 

Do you provide meals and snacks?

Good nutrition provides a stable foundation for children to develop mentally and physically. Our well-balanced menu focuses on fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and vitamins and minerals. Each day, our esteemed cook prepares a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack in our commercial-grade kitchen. In coordination with our Leadership Team, she ensures that children with allergies and dietary restrictions receive the proper food. We are a completely nut-free environment. Additionally, All Starz offers a vegetarian option for lunch every day. All three meals are included in the tuition and are served family-style in the classrooms. Monthly menus are distributed to each family and posted in all of the classrooms.

 

 

Do the children play outside every day?

The children visit their outdoor playgrounds twice each day, weather permitting. Our outdoor playground is divided into four separate areas, specifically matched to each developmental stage: infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-Kindergartners. Over 23,000 square feet of playgrounds provide ample space for the children to run around and play with their friends. But children need more than just a climber and swings, so that’s why we offer so much more than the average child care facility. We provide state-of-the-art equipment, along with safety fall zones and grassy areas in our playing fields so the children can play and run freely. We have climbing structures, playhouses, a basketball court, sand and water play areas, art and music areas, construction blocks for building, and plenty of toys to ride on and push around.

 

During the spring and summer weeks, children in the Sophomore through Senior programs tend to their organic garden, where they cultivate their own plants, flowers, and organic fruits and vegetables. The spring and summer months also provide the perfect atmosphere for nature walks, picnics, and stroller rides. And we can’t forget that summer also means visits to the Splash Park and the opportunity to cool off during those hot summer days.

 

If weather conditions prevent the children from playing outside, each campus has a state-of-the-art, fully-equipped indoor gymnasium where they can explore many different activities, such as dancing with handkerchiefs, chasing bubbles, jumping through hula hoops, or adventuring through obstacle courses.

 

 

Do you take the children on field trips?

We do not take the children on field trips. Instead, we invite different community helpers to visit our school throughout the year.

 

 

What are your security policies?

All Starz uses one of the most advanced security management software programs on the market. Parents and staff members use a Personal Identification Number to gain access to the building and a biometric fingerprint reader to check in and out, ensuring each child’s safety. Our outdoor playgrounds are completely surrounded by a six-foot iron fence (free from splinters for little fingers), ensuring safety and providing an opportunity for the children to observe the natural world around them. Two gates are used for emergency evacuations, but remain locked throughout the day.

 

 

What are your tuition rates?

Tuition is paid on a monthly basis and includes all meals and Specialty Programs. We do ask that parents of our youngest children provide their diapers, wipes, bottles, and baby foods. Please call for our current tuition rates.

 

 

Do you have a vacation policy?

We do not have a vacation policy. However, we do have a referral policy where you receive one week’s tuition free if you refer a new family to All Starz.
