Service Areas

All of the behind-the-scenes work that goes on to keep our school clean and the children fed happens in our service areas – the Kitchen and the Laundry Room.

Kitchen

Good nutrition provides a stable foundation for children to develop mentally and physically. Our well-balanced menu focuses on fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and vitamins and minerals. Some of the fruits and vegetables we serve come from our own organic garden, which is planted and cared for by the children under a teacher’s guidance. All meals are designed to be nutritious, delicious, and child-friendly.

Each day, our esteemed cook prepares a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack in our commercial-grade kitchen. In coordination with our leadership team, she ensures that children with allergies and dietary restrictions receive the proper food. We are a completely nut-free environment. Additionally, All Starz offers a vegetarian option for lunch every day.

All three meals are served family-style in the classrooms. Educators join the children at the tables, providing examples of healthy eating habits and encouraging the children to try new and exciting foods.

Monthly menus are distributed to each family and posted in all of the classrooms.

Laundry Room

Cleanliness is key to the health and safety of the children. For our youngest children, each piece of linen is washed daily:

  • Bibs

  • Washcloths

  • Crib sheets

  • Play mats

For our older children, the rest cot sheets and blankets are washed on a weekly basis and as needed because we know little accidents happen.

Every classroom is thoroughly cleaned throughout each day. Floors are swept and mopped after each meal, restrooms and changing tables are sanitized after each use, rugs are vacuumed each morning, and each classroom’s toys and furniture are sanitized every evening after the children have left for the day.

In addition, each toy in the infant and toddler rooms is sanitized when each child is through playing with it.

The service areas and the people who work in them help ensure smooth, comfortable, safe and hygienic days for our children.  And the children love when our cook and housekeeper visit their classrooms!

It is such a wonderful feeling knowing my children are taken care of so well while I'm at work.
